GYM/DRIVING ETIQUETTE/UNDERSTANDING OTHERS.
I’m pretty frustrated at some two specific things and figured I would voice them here. I’ll keep this short and sweet. Here are some ways to make life better for the people around you. God damn etiquette!
If you’re in the gym how about you re-rack your weights. And maybe you can consider placing them back on the correct rack. You may say “Well the rack is full.” Well how about you break a sweat and walk 8 feet in ANY direction and find an empty rack? Maybe the gym should hire a dozen people with severe OCD to walk around cleaning up after you.
How about when you see someone with headphones on at the gym, don’t talk to them. If they take out one earbud to answer you and don’t release it out of their hands, they are displaying a need to put it back in. They are listening to music to drown out other people as they focus on their fitness. Don’t ask me about “The game”. I will never hit on a girl in the gym. The gym should be a safe haven from harassment. The chick completely out of your league probably has no interest in having small talk with you either.
*Exception to this rule*
If she’s been in the gym for almost an hour with full make up intact, you’re going to want to look down. If her neon shoe laces match her neon sports bra, she fair game. She’s there for attention. Many gyms have free babysitters for an hour. This is the closest thing she gets to a night club. Buy her a shot of protein and tell her about that touchdown you scored in high school.
Guys- The bartender/Waitress/Stripper/Walmart-greeter is paid to be welcoming. It’s the service industry. She’s not being nice to you because she wants to give you her number.
Girls- Not every guy that speaks to you is hitting on you. Some
5 easy steps:
- You’re going to want to put your hands up with your palms facing out.
- See which index and thumb creates the letter “L”.
- Realize this is your left hand.
- Use this information to locate the left lane.
- Don’t drive slow in that fucking lane.
Driving isn’t that hard, right?
If you’re ever said “I don’t understand how __________ people would want to _________”.
Ask yourself “Does this effect my life?”. 9 out of 10 times, it doesn’t effect you in any way. Don’t oversaturate social media with your opinion. You don’t HAVE to understand others…You just gotta mind your business.
PS- Don’t go to a grocery store with a checkbook.
